'Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer'
An Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Lazy, Hazy Days of Summer'

Oil on Archival Linen Panel
9 x 12

I have not published many new paintings recently
because I have been working furiously to create
work for my French Show at the Carlisle Arts Learning Center
this May with fellow artist Donna Barlup.
This is a new painting I created as a result of an online class
I have been taking through the Tuscon Art Academy
with Gabor Zvagrik.  It's been an excellent class with an
exceptional teacher, and I LOVE that they give
online critiques of my work.

If you would like to see more of my work,
please visit my website or my blog. If you are
interested in purchasing any of my paintings you see
here on this blog, please contact me.

I enjoy Gabor, have taken some of his freebies and GO TO Meeting ones..his blog is full of gold nuggets, isn't it? Good for you! I Love this one! I love that cow getting up out of the water, makes it so real and how life really is at the cattle pond. Sweet! Maybe I will get more interested in his online teachings.

Thanks, Pattie. I really have enjoyed the course, even though it was a little crazy for me to take it at this particular time when I am trying to get ready for my show in May. Gabor is a great teacher (I have taken the free webinars as well), and he is very good at putting the concepts together very well. My favorite part is the personal critique after each week's lessons - invaluable! Phil Starke's free webinars have been very good as well.
This is my year for getting some education - I am taking a workshop with Qiang Huang in April!
