My husband I were driving around Gettysburg, PA
looking for a farm building I had painted, but
we just couldn't remember where it was.  On our journey
to find it, we came across a farm with Long Horn cattle.
This majestic bull was right along the side of the road,
and the only thing that separated him from me
was an electric fence.  When he started to make noises,
I realized I had better get out of there - but what
really made me move was when he started
to stamp his back hoof on the ground!

I love this road, because it takes me to one of
my favorite places on earth - our little cabin
in the woods.  When we travel up this road, and
pass the little white house on the left, that's the
last sign of civilization we see until we travel
back down the road again and head back home.
Yes, I am a hermit at heart...

A damp, dreary and cold day, but one that was made
so much more fun by painting with fellow
friends and artists Linda Young, Jane Albin and
Donna Barlup!  We painted along the Yellow Breeches
at Messiah College (the covered bridge was behind me).
I loved the view of the creek and the trees...
When I left, it was much more complete than
this - if you want to see the finished painting,
you will have to come to the Preview reception
this Friday evening!

Almost done!  This is my first painting for the
Camp Hill Plein Air Event.  I have been wanting to paint
this pink dogwood for a long time, so I thought
this would be a great way to begin the event.
