Yesterday I painted this picture of the Susquehanna River and the George Wade Bridge. The leaves were just beginning to change, so it was nice to have spots of bright color in the large areas of green. The receding blues were really attractive, and I enjoyed playing with the colors and values to get the depth in this one.

Claire, your paintings are beautiful. You are a great plein air painter.

Very easy to recognize our river! Good work, Claire! Will we ever have a normal weather this fall just to get out there and paint?... So lot of potential, and so lot of rain.

Thank you, Tatiana. I agree with you - I am hoping we get some beautiful weather when the leaves are at their peak! When I did this painting, I did get some photos to work from if this rain keeps up.
