Sheep in the Meadow

'Sheep in the Meadow'
Newton Abbey, Ireland
8 X 8 Oil on Canvas
$125.00 plus $6.00 shipping

This is a painting done for Bill Guffey's Virtual Paintout Challenge, using Google maps. The view is from the Castle Road in Newton Abbey, North Ireland, and is my first submission to Bill's online challenge.
I have to say that there were so many beautiful landscape views that it made it difficult to settle on just one!

This definately looks like Ireland, very green and lush due to all that rain. Lovely painting and composition.

This is a beautiful and classic image, Claire.
Didn't Ireland feel quite a bit like Pennsylvania?
This was my first time doing the Virtual Paintout, too.

Thanks so much, Diana. I have always wanted to go to Ireland, and this challenge only reinforced that!

Thanks, Leslie. I have really enjoyed seeing the drawings you have done from this challenge! And, yes - the rural areas of Ireland certainly do remind me of Pennsylvania, especially this year with the rainy Summer we have had.
