'Last Rose'

The flowers are quickly starting to fade, but this red
rose always hangs in there and gives me flowers until
the first hard frost. One year I had roses clear up until
December - what a treat!
The container for the rose is the bottom of an old salt
shaker. I think it made a nice little vase - what do you think?

laire, I like this red rose, the deepness of its hue, and the recipient, too!I wouldn't have thought about that, it's funny, good idea!
I hate when the flowers fade, always makes me feel a little sad. This little rose looks sad too, but it still makes me smile. The red is gorgeous. Love the vase idea too!
