THE LAST LIGHT OF THE DAY
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'The Last Light of the Day'
Oil  6 x 8

This is a repost of a painting I did about a year ago
of a snowy farm as seen from the Bonnybrook Road
in Carlisle, PA.  I have been wishing
for a little bit of snow to
go with the frigid weather we have been having here, so
maybe this will be my good luck charm...
Here's to hoping we have a White Christmas like
we did last year :)

If you would like to see more of my work,
please visit my website or my blog. If you are

Great handling of the furrows of soil w/ the snow.

En France, le froid est rigoureux et s'est installé un peu tôt accompagné de son amie la neige...
Les rayons faibles du soleil en fin de journée sur la neige apporte une lumière particulièrement limpide sur votre joli paysage.
Je vous embrasse amicalement,
Bisous

Really nice light in this one. The snow appears to be in shadow and only the tops of the buildings are being hit be the rays of light. Beautiful!

Merci pour vos commentaires réfléchis, Martine

You are right, Virginia. The sun was low, so only the top part of the landscape was getting the light. Thank you! Claire
