Day 73
I took advantage of the beautiful weather today and did this
little painting of a dried hydrangea blossom that was still
on the bush. I like to leave the blossoms on during the winter
to add a little interest to the garden. The green of the pine tree
in the background really made the flowers stand out.

Fantastic! So you're doing the 100 paintings in 100 days! Can't wait to see what you come up with!!
My second favorite flower and oh so beautiful, Claire. I think this is a divine palette that packs a powerful punch of delight. That evergreen behind does indeed set this hydrangea off so beautifully.
Thanks, Kim - yes, I am back to my painting challenge, and excited to find new growth in the garden!
Sherry, thanks so much for your comment. It was fun to look for the color in the dried blooms!
I'm looking thru your blog and this one makes me say "How did you do that?" I love the look of hydrangeas and lilacs but figured they'd be so hard to do. You got the perfectly!
