MOUNTAIN LAUREL ON THE RIDGE
Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Mountain Laurel on the Ridge'
Oil  18 x 14

On the mountain by our cabin, mountain laurel grows
heavily in certain areas, and I am always so awed
by the amazing range of colors in these beautiful wild
flowers.  Along the ridge where they are most prevalent, I have
seen the colors range from a deep rosy pink to the palest
pink blush.

I especially liked the way the light was shining through
this particular section of mountain laurel, and really
worked to get what I wanted.  What do you think?

Beautiful painting. It has a lovely soft light. I like the subtle yellow color showing through the trees.

This is so beautifully done.... like you could walk right in and smell the fragrance! Nice soft shades of pink.

What a gorgeous location. I so love wildflowers and trees. The rocks in the foreground are a beautiful anchor for these pretty flowers. A wonderful piece, Claire!
