'Ripples and Shadows'
Oil 6 x 8

Whew...finally got my new power cord for my laptop and
have the laptop up and running! Our Plein Air Group, the
Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters went to Children's Lake in
Boiling Springs last Thursday. It was the first sunny day we
had in many days, and it was wonderful to be out in the fresh
air painting and watching the fishermen fish in the 'Catch and
Release' section of the stream. More pictures of the artists at
work are available at the SVPAP blog.
If you would like to see more of my work,
interested in purchasing any of my paintings you see
here on this blog, please contact me.

Oh, this is so beautiful, Claire! I love these small springs that are so vibrant with color from leaves beneath the water. Also, this piece you've done reminds me a bit of Pat Koscienski's work (one of your fellow PA painters). Gorgeous!
This is a perfect evocation of a babbling stream - it's even refreshing to look at. x
This is really beautiful. All it needs is the sound.
As I posted on the DPP. You've got a great gift and use it so well. Vibrant and lively.
Thank you, Sherry. Even before I met Pat, people were commenting about the similarities in our work, and I always considered it to be quite a compliment. Today we share a studio at Gallery 13; we both belong to the Daily Painters of Pennsylvania and the Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters!
Thanks so much, Gillian!
Beautiful painting Claire. Love those "Ripples". Great colors on the water!!
I thought you two knew each other and I do read the Daily PA painters' blog too. Just didn't want to assume you two knew each other, though I was pretty sure you did. I don't think I knew you guys shared a studio at a gallery! That must be so very fun! And I love when your plein aire painters get together. The work you all do is exquisite!! And glad I'm not the only one to see a similarity, though admittedly this is the first time I've detected it. LOL
This is great! I love how you painted the white of the water. Your brush strokes are amazing here. Very inspiring!
Thank you Hilda, and Brad.
Claire, so much of your work is wonderful, especially this one. Love your style!
