APPLE TREES ON THE HILL
An Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Apple Trees on the Hill'
Lerew Orchard, Gardners, PA
© Claire Beadon Carnell
Oil
10 x 20

This Spring, a friend of mine from my high school days
let me know that her sister lived on an orchard that
was mere miles from my house, and that I was welcome
to go paint there.  I got a great tour from my friend's
sister, and then did a quick study of a view of
the apple trees from the top of a hill.

When I got home, I realized right away that I wanted to
do a larger studio piece, because I loved the
way the blue of the mountains peeked through
the white and soft pink blossoms of the trees.
It is a gorgeous orchard, and hope I can go back
and paint there again next spring!

Simply stunning, Claire! I've always thought PA was one of the prettiest states I've visited. Your work always proves it.

Do you find these beautiful spots or do they find you? You must live in the middle of Eden. Those white blossoms are painted beautifully.
