Yesterday I painted up at Kings Gap State Park with
my good friend and fellow artist, Mary Beth Brath.
She had suggested we go there to paint in the
garden, and the moment I started driving up that
long curvy drive to the top of the mountain, I
knew this is just what I needed!   The garden is
gorgeous, and complete with a small pond with
water lilies and frogs.

The zinnias called to me, and when I walked
away from them to look at some of the other
parts of the garden, they just called louder - so
that's what I painted!

What a nice spot to paint in...I love all the colors - Zinnias are some of my favorites, too!

What a lovely painting Claire. Always a treat to paint with other artists. I was given a surprise gift of an artists retreat to Cuttyhunk Island in September. Looking forward to it.

I can see why these flowers called you, Claire! they're so colorful..
beautifully painted, as always.

I'm glad you heard them calling, Claire. A beautiful statement of their presence.

Sometimes BlogSpot does not jump a new post and apparently that has happened here because I missed one! The painting is just gorgeous and I can't imagine having such landscaped grounds!
