'Daylily Painters'
© Claire Beadon Carnell
Oil on Stretched Linen

When I was participating in the Westfield, NY Plein Air Event
a couple of weeks ago, one day I painted on a beautiful
daylily farm with friends and fellow artists Jane Albin
and Roberta Staat. I had happened to look up from my
own painting and saw Roberta talking to Jane while
Jane was painting. I quickly grabbed my camera, and
before I even took the picture I knew
that I was going to paint this.

I can see why this painting was sold! I love the perfect light hitting her hat and the colors are outstanding! Beautiful piece, Claire!
Very wonderful painting with nice colours and great summer light !!!
Happy weekend !!!
What a beautiful painting, Claire. From the back view, the lady on the left made me think of Vincent Van Gogh...and I was sucked back in time to witness one of his feverish painting sessions. What a cool feeling!
Thank you for your comment, Hilda! I loved every minute of painting this one :)
Thank you, Art-Traveller! Hope that you have a great weekend too!
Thank you, Sherry. I pretty much worked on this non-stop, so maybe I was channeling a little tiny bit of Van Gogh's energy!!!! (Thank goodness my left ear still remains intact!)
