'The Weight of the World'
An Original Oil Painting

I noticed this Civil War re-enactor when I was
attending Army Heritage Days at the
Army Heritage Museum in Carlisle, PA
this summer.  He looked like he had so much
on his mind, and it made me think of what
an incredible responsibility it would have to be
for any officer that must prepare to send their
soldiers into battle, and often death.

Claire, this is just exquisite. I've seen numerous shows of the battlefields in Pennsylvania in which there are claims of hauntings. This piece instantly made me think this was a ghost and he is doing exactly what you talked about in this post...I'll bet this man has some stories to tell!
