I just came back from a plein air painting jaunt to
Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. The weather
was beautiful, the scenery was sublime...so many wonderful
things to paint. This one I did on Friday. The trail to
get there was long and steep, but what a treat it
was to see what was waiting for me at the end of
that trail!

Look at that deceptively frail looking tree on the rock! Now that takes heartiness and strength!! Beautiful painting, Claire, and I for one am glad you headed down that trail!
