Sometimes ideas for paintings come to me in dreams,
and I've often had dreams of fields of lavender. I enjoyed
recollecting parts of the dream that inspired this painting,
and the peace that filled my heart as I painted.

I would welcome a dream like this one - beautiful, although I honestly have never seen a field of lavender. I think your perspective is great! Purples are so nice.
