This is a small golden delicious apple from the dwarf
apple tree beside my vegetable garden. Because I don't
spray, most of the apples feed the deer.
This one managed to keep a smooth skin, so I saved
it out to paint.

Claire, I really like the way you used color in your shadow as well as the apple. Nicely painted.
I am SO impressed with what you are doing ~ 100 paintings in 100 days! I can't even manage 1 in 365.
The subdued colours in the apple really appeal here. They're subtle, sophsticated and calming somehow. The touches of blue in the shadow are also excellent. This is great stuff, Claire.
