Day 56

This is a small golden delicious apple from the dwarf
apple tree beside my vegetable garden.  Because I don't
spray, most of the apples feed the deer.
This one managed to keep a smooth skin, so I saved
it out to paint.

Claire, I really like the way you used color in your shadow as well as the apple. Nicely painted.

I am SO impressed with what you are doing ~ 100 paintings in 100 days! I can't even manage 1 in 365.

The subdued colours in the apple really appeal here. They're subtle, sophsticated and calming somehow. The touches of blue in the shadow are also excellent. This is great stuff, Claire.

Beautiful job, Claire! Love the subtle hand and that long blue shadow.

You used some beautiful, subtle colors in this work, Claire - really sets the mood. Being a shadow fan, I'm always a sucker for a long, blue shadow like this.

Great job so far, and you're more than halfway there!

Very nice composition, simple and strong at the same time. Love the toned down color, too. Very nice study of an apple and shadows!
