Day 58

I've been looking at a pear tree that grows
across the street from my daughter's house, and
admiring the huge pears that grow on that tree.
Yesterday, after getting permission from the
neighbor, I walked over and picked a pear
that had leaves close to the stem.
It made quite a nice model to paint from, and
never tipped over even though it had quite
a lean!

Hummm! elle me paraît très juteuse cette poire et sur votre toile elle paraît danser... Bises

That is one fine looking pear:) Beautiful job!

The painting has this great dynamic tension, as the pear rests on the tip of the leaf. I like to shadows too.

This is beautiful, Claire! I hope the neighbors get to see your lovely rendition of their pear.

Did it taste as good as it looks??? Totally yummy! (comment from Beaufort Diane)

Thank you for the comments everyone! Diane - I have not eaten the pear because I decided I had to paint it for a third time from a different perspective. I have become pear-obsessed!
