MORNING'S LIGHT
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Morning's Light'
Oil on Linen Panel
9 x 12

I painted this while participating in the first Artist's Colony
sponsored by the Gettysburg Festival.  The vantage point is
looking down from Little Round Top toward Devil's Den.
It was a beautiful summer morning, and we got there just
as the sun was starting to kiss the tops of the trees.

Morning's Light will be part of an exhibit of work created by
Daily Painters of Pennsylvania, and will take place at the
Brafferton Inn in Gettysburg during the month of November
2010.

Love your foliage in this. Really wonderful painting, great colors. And you did this plein air? wonderful work.

Oh such lush and verdant beauty, Claire! Sun kissed indeed! I find myself wanting to skip-toe through that gorgeous field grass!
