Day 62
The leaves are really coming to their color peak here
in Pennsylvania right now. It seems that everywhere
I go I am picking up the ones that fascinate me because
of their color and/or shape. This one really caught my
attention because of the shades of red, and those curling
leaves.

Lovely work on this, Carol! The curling edges, delicate veining and the spot on values really make this a stunner.
Beautifully painted, what a wonderful subject to paint mmm that gives me an idea;)
What a beautiful portrait of that leaf! Love the way you handled the curls and the stem! Color is coming to its peak here in Western North Carolina too. Am savoring the days!
This one is beautiful, Claire. She has such movement and rich color! Lady in Red.
Claire, I haven't been spending much time in the Landscape Forum at WC where I became acquainted with your work, but happened upon the blog and just LOVE this leaf. I've been playing around with still life in gouache and, as a result, this leaf and its wonderful shadows thrills me. Great piece. Now I'm going to go look at the rest of the work here...
This is lovely! And I really liked your contribution to Inspiration all Around Us challenge - thanks for sharing!
