Day One - Camp Hill Plein Air Event
We had such a gorgeous day for the beginning of the
Plein Air Camp Hill Competition and Arts Festival .
I found this little garden on the corner of Willow
and 24th Street in Camp Hill. Lots of people stopped to
chat, and some even came back again to see the
progression of my painting. A neighbor of the former owner
of the house also stopped to visit. She was going
to head home and give the lady a call because she knew
how pleased she would be to know that someone was
painting a picture of her garden!
If you would like to see more of my work,
interested in purchasing any of my paintings you see
here on this blog, please contact me.

Beautiful painting, love your suggestion of flowers with the variety of shapes and colors, not to mention the peaceful scene.
Sounds like it was fun! Great painting!
Just beautiful, Claire!
I loved it! I came from Carolyn´s blog and I discovered a green world here full of flowers and gardens. Beautiful!!!
Wonderfully composed, Claire!
I like how the foliage is indicated by the loose strokes.
Thank you, Sherry - it was a beautiful day!
What a find, Claire. And, what a great painting!
Thanks so much everyone for your extremely kind remarks on this painting. As soon as I saw the light on the birdbath, I knew it was going to be what I was going to paint!
how cool is this, we have a secret garden, with a little bird bath too, very lovely...
