Day 94
I placed this little cayenne pepper on the edge of
my table easel as I was setting up the area where I
wanted to paint. When I looked up and saw the way the
light was hitting the pepper, as well as the
great shadows from the light - I decided to leave it
right where it was!
I had fun working the abstract shapes of the pepper's
'wrinkles' - keeping it loose, and not getting too
picky. What do you think?

Beautiful reds!
You've given this pepper real character! The background colour compliments the red beautifully.
Un poivron qui ne manque pas de piquant! Une très belle capture tant au point de vue couleurs que de la lumière qui le met en scène.
Gros bisous
You've captured such warmth, Claire! (No pun intended.) Gorgeous job on this piece and oh to have a kitchen to sport these paintings of late!
Nice pepper!
So nice! Perfectly painted!
itchy!!! ; )
This is just gorgeous Claire!
Thanks so much for the comments, everyone!!!
I love this Claire! Perfect.
Beautiful Claire! I love the simplicity and yet all the detail. You always do such lovely work and I mean to comment but get super busy... I love what you do!
Will take that heat - this has been the coldest darned winter - I think this little painting is very appropriate and love the reds!
