Day 96
I've already painted some gourds earlier on in my
100 Paintings in 100 Days Challenge,
thought this would make a great addition with the
soft, almost antique look of this one that is shaped like a
little pumpkin. The colors are so subtle, and so
much fun to work with.
We have had so much rain this year that strange things
have been happening in my own garden. A seed
from a gourd rooted in my compost pile, and the vine
has grown so much that it is crawling up towards
the top of a large pine tree...and is almost there!
Sort of reminds me of that movie 'Kudzu', where
a vine takes over the world...

The texture and colours are beautiful,it must have been hard to create. The reflection gives this painting extra dimention.
Again another soft and subtle execute. Very beautiful.
The dimension and depth you gave here is awesome! The subtle brush play for the texture is perfect!
Must echo Padmaja here, Claire. What a beautiful and unusual little pumpkin! I'm tickled by the gourd seed. Hope you'll share a photo!
