'Sharpsburg Farm Lane'
Oil
16 x 12
This summer when I was painting with fellow friend and artist
Deb Richardson down on the Antietam Battlefield, she
graciously gave me a tour of some of the significant farms
that are found there. I took photos, and made some notes
so that I could paint some of my favorite scenes while
up in my studio this winter, and this is one of them.

Claire, your work is always so amazing, so beautiful. I so love rock walls (and houses of stone), all things trees and green and rural. This piece has it all and I think it is stunning!
So beautiful and so well done! How I would enjoy walking down that little country road/path! You could teach a 6-week course using this painting from the lead in to the distant sky! Wonderful painting!
Claire, This is such a beautiful piece!! Paula
Love this - the sky peeking through the clouds and the trees, the stone wall, the shiny wet road.
