an Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Coral Carnation'
6 x 6

I bought a bunch of carnations just to bring some
bright color into the house during the dreary winter
months.  They lasted for weeks, and gave me ample
opportunity to paint and photograph each of
the different colors in the bunch!

Hi Claire...The carnation is so pretty and I love the simplicity of the white background.

I tried to contact you about Lavender Blue II but haven't heard back from you. Can you get in touch with me? My email address is correct on my blog. Thanks!

Fortunately, carnations are the flowers to buy if you want to paint a still life since they last for so long. I love carnations!!! You painted this flower beautifully, Claire!!! Love the color!!

So lovely Claire! And yes I agree that the simplicity of the background only adds to it.
