I am always filled with wonderment at the ability of
life to persevere, and often thrive under the most
incredibly difficult circumstances.

It certainly is the beauty of nature !! I love the contrast between the rock and blossoms.
I, too, love that shadow on the blossoms between the rocks..and the rich green atmospheric background.
Thank you, Azra - that is what compelled me to paint this. Such a seemingly delicate tree rooting itself down in these huge boulders!
Thanks, Pattie! I need to sign the painting yet, and will be doing a little glazing - some on those very shadows.
The ability of plants to survive is amazing. You have captured this beautifully here too.
I love the sunlit flowers nestled in the rocks...such a great composition.
Tant de délicatesse dans ce petit arbre fleuri... Une peinture pleine de douceur printanière.
Je suis toujours étonnée de voir comment certaines plantes peuvent pousser dans un univers qui paraît parfois inhospitalier...
Une belle peinture.
Gros bisous
Claire, your thoughts parallel my own. This is stunning, my friend!
Merci, Martine. Je pense que cela s'applique à trop de gens - certaines des personnes les plus merveilleuses sont sortis de la misère et la tragédie. L'esprit humain est une chose étonnante!
Thanks so much, Pieces of Sunshine!
(I love your blog!)
Thank you, Maria. I really liked the contrast too - such delicate blossoms against those immovable boulders.
Thank you, Sherry - I think this applies to people as well. Sometimes life can be very difficult, yet we have the spirit to push forward and 'bloom' in our own unique ways.
