'On the Edge'
Oil on Stretched Canvas
20 x 30
On this very hot Summer day, it was a perfect time
to work up in my studio (that has AC). Lately I have
been working on some larger pieces,
and this is one of them. I have always had a
thing for hay bales, and then add to that the sky
with all of those puffy clouds - this was a joy to work on!
Thanks to Facebook friend Mark Smith for
the photo reference.

This is very beautiful, Claire. Love those wonderful clouds, as well!!!
Thank you, Hilda. The sky was very interesting to work on - much more color in there than one would think!
That's the best way I know to spend a hot day indoors...painting a beautiful scene as this one.
Claire! That's gorgeous. I love the slope of the hill coming toward the viewer. Lovely.
Another beauty, Claire. I've always loved your hay bales and know how much you love them. I fixed that weird light green color on the blog. You can see better now. LOL
Beautiful painting. The clouds, the colors, everything. I'm glad it's big. It should take up as much space as possible.
Gorgeous yellow against that blue and cloudy sky !
