were warning of snow accumulations that could
amount to as much as 10 - 12 inches. I cancelled classes
for the day, and started to paint a Spring scene.
We didn't get the predicted amounts of snow, but
it was a great day for painting. This is a view
not all that far from my house, and is just one
of the many orchards in our area. I loved the
new leaves of the red maples, and all of those
glorious apple trees in bloom.
Spring stirs the land awake from a very grey winter!

Spring is always uplifting , it is nice to see such a scene right from your home, this transition in nature gives a lot of hope, as if the nature is opening a new door of opportunity, beautiful job Claire!
You have so beautifully captured the spring and its glorious blossoms. I do so love this time of year - before heat and humidity and bugs come in!
Such a perfect title for this beautiful painting, Claire...The winter was definitely grey but this painting gives me hope for Springtime! Wonderful colors and scene!!
