'Spring in Giverny'

Last year my daughter and I took one
of the items off of our bucket lists by making
a much-dreamed of trip to France. We spent
most of our time in Paris, but also travelled
up through northern France visiting Giverny,
Rouen, Vernon, Les Andelys and Normandy.
This little landscape is from the gardens
of Claude Monet's home. The Spring flowers
were brilliant in color, and this woman with her
red coat fit right in.

Congratulations on the sale, Claire. It's a beautiful painting. I, also, think that red coat is a plus!
Both this and the last piece are just so beautiful, Claire! I think I remember you sharing a photo of Monet's gardens, but I may be wrong.
I have been awaiting some paintings from that trip! I would love to go there someday...I promised my daughter - but have to wait for my grandaughter to get a little older, would like her to go too. I love this garden - must have been such a treat to go there and then get so excited about getting to paint them from photos and memories!!
What a beautiful garden, Claire.!
I love the cottage and gorgeous colors in the garden! nice work!!
(I can see why you sold this one..
