A few years ago I got tickets to the July
Gettysburg Battlefield re-enactment celebration
for my husband's birthday.  We were actually watching
a re-enactment of one of the battles when I turned
my head and saw these two women (and the little girl)
re-enactors coming up over a hill.  It was one of those times
where I was so grateful to have camera in hand!

How beautiful! I love the period clothes and it harkens back to a gentler time in history (minus the war part of it, I mean).

A lovely painting with a perfect title! I especially like the way you handled the sky and mountains so the figures really "star"! Super!!
