I just came back from a plein air painting jaunt to
Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts. I was really looking
forward to painting the marshy areas, and was very
happy to find this marsh in Menemsha at low tide.
Locals who stopped by to talk to me while I was
painting said that this was the lowest they had
ever seen the tide in this area. Lucky me :)

Absolutely beautiful, Claire. an amazing scene...I can see why you wanted to paint it. The blues in the water is perfect!!!
Your paintings of landscapes just always have that classical touch that imply they will be greatly collected and loved. Always so beautiful!
