'Southern Sunflowers'
An Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Southern Sunflowers'
Oil on Archival Linen Panel
12 x 16

Last Summer, my husband and I took the Auto Train down
to Florida to attend a wedding, and then drove back so
that we could stop and visit family and explore some of the Southern
states on our way home.
We were driving through Georgia when I spotted an old
barn and fields of sunflowers, and knew it would be so much
fun to paint - and it was - wish you could see the texture of the paint!

Thank you, Hilda. I remember how excited I was when I spotted this scene in Georgia - I loved this farm. In my photo references, that back field was an unattractive brown so I decided to make it another 'distant' field of sunflowers.
