'Weeping Willow'
(Children's Lake, Boiling Springs, PA)
An Original Plein Air Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Weeping Willow'
Children's Lake, Boiling Springs, PA
Plein Air
Oil on Archival Linen Panel
10 x 8

I grabbed my pochade box to get ready to go
painting this morning, and remembered that I had never
removed this plein air painting I had done last week at
Children's Lake in Boiling Springs.  That day at the lake was a perfect
Summer's  day, with ducks and their babies, geese and swans
out on the lake...but this beautiful old willow is what caught my eye.

Imagine how many children this old tree has seen feeding the
ducks over the years!

Excellent painting of this Weeping Willow. I love how you painted the rocks as well.

Gros bisous ♡

Thanks so much, Sherry! I had such a beautiful lake to my left, and so many ducks, geese, and a pair of swans - but that tree kept calling to me!
