Well, I guess that grumpy old groundhog really did
know what he was talking about. We have almost
24 inches of snow here, and it is still snowing!
It will be interesting to see the final totals.
Here are some pictures:
This is a view of our backyard. I took the picture
from an upstairs window to get the snow-covered
limbs from our pine trees.
The shed...the snow is almost to the top of the
garden fence!
A view of the studio - those two white lumps in
the foreground are out vehicles. There's going to
be some serious snow shovelling once this snow
stops, but it won't be soon because it is still
putting it down here right now!

I was also thrilled by the snowfall today as I posted on my blog. Thanks for sharing your "backyard" photos. Snow is something very special.
That it is, Lyn. I always get excited when I know we are going to get snow!
Is that your studio!? How lucky you are to have such space to work in. It all looks so beautiful and silent.
Thanks, Anne. Yes - studio was built on top of our garage. It's like sitting up in a tree house and painting! :)
Boy I'm glad I live in Alaska, and not Pennsylvania, ha. I hope that not too many branches break off your trees back there.
If you wouldn't have told me where your cars were,Claire, I would not have seen them. Love your studio.
Wow, Claire...You folks got hammered over there. We got over a foot of the stuff, and it was the wet, heavy, kind. Snow is pretty, but once a year on Dec. 24th would suit me just fine.
