READY FOR BREAKFAST
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Ready for Breakfast'
Oil 8 x 8
Available

Initially I wanted to paint this because it was a
white on white study, but I soon started having fun
just painting the spaces around the eggs as they
nestled in the dish. There's so much subtle color in
this, the warms and cools in both the dish and the eggs.
Definitely a painting that taught me a few things!

One of my favorite things to paint is pets with white fur, all for the same reasons you've mentioned. The complexity of white on white, but the discovery of the subtle colors both warm and cool is such a rewarding experience when you put the brush down. I love this painting for the above reasons and the delicate little floral design circling the eggs, well done!

Prettiest eggs I've ever seen but I really love that bowl! Spring time and farms...just gorgeous when symbolized like this!

I love the contrast of the dark background with the white bowl and eggs! You did a great job with the subtle colors. Beautiful!
