SUMMER SHADOWS
Original Plein Air Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Summer Shadows'
Oil
12 x 16

Several of us Susquehanna Valley Plein Air Painters
got together yesterday morning to paint at the
Dickinson College Farm in Boiling Springs.  The
morning was hot, but we went up to the top of one
field that had beautiful vistas and a tree-line that provided
some much appreciated shade. I had painted here for the
Carlisle Arts Learning Center 'Art on the Farm' fundraiser,
and was so glad to come back to this beautiful farm to paint again.

Claire, you have really found your calling! All of your Plein Air paintings have such a fresh feel. Love your treatment of the trees and the great atmosphere/depth.

Thank you, Sherry. I would imagine we could find a similar scene almost anywhere in the continental US during the summer!
