Day 100

What an adventure this has been...I have had so much fun,
and in the process of this challenge have also learned
so much more about painting.  I feel a sense of accomplishment
having finished this, but also a little sad that it has come to an end.

I want to thank all of the people who have so faithfully
followed this challenge, and have offered such encouragement
along the way!

Thanks also to the people who have given me reference
material from their own back yards that I could paint!

Special thanks to my beautiful daughter who gave me the
extra push I needed to go ahead and start the challenge even
though I wasn't sure I was ready, and who
also helped me come up with the idea for the final painting
of the challenge...of myself painting in my back yard.

I am working on another challenge that I want to start
next year...more information to follow!!!

Claire, this is the perfect end to a beautiful series! Truly gorgeous and I just love the composition, the depth, the colors and the lushness of your back yard! Truly a wow piece and I hope you keep this one just for you!

Thank you too for your wonderful words on my blog. Truly an encouragement to me and from one of the very first followers I ever had. You were the reason I decided to keep at it, by the way, though maybe not as openly as I usually write. Thank you again...

Thank you, Hilda - I had a lot of fun painting this. My grandson is still trying to figure out how I was able to paint myself into the picture - I am not giving up my secret!!!

Congratulations Claire! This has been a fun challenge for all of us! This final painting is wonderful and I bet your family is encouraging you to paint a larger one! Are you going to incorporate these into a book? I suggest "inspiration for a Back Yard" as the cover! Can't wait to see what you are going to do next!

I'm a little late, but congratulations on your 100th painting! I like your daughter's idea for your 100th painting. Very appropriate!

I'm glad that after a well-deserved break, you will be doing another challenge. Endings are just the beginnings of something else after all.
