FEBRUARY ALONG THE BLUE RIDGE
an Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'February Along the Blue Ridge'
Oil
16 x 12

I think that I am very close to finishing this painting.  It
needs a couple of weeks face-side against the
wall so that when I do look at it again it will
be with fresh eyes.  This was developed from photographs
and notes I took while we were up on the mountain
last weekend.

Beautiful painting Claire. The tree is so realistic and love the greens. We went through The Blue Ridge Highway last year...did some hiking there..Wonderful place!!! Well done.

Beautiful beautiful, Claire! But then that comes as no surprise. I think Pennsylvania is a beautiful state. This would be a prime spot for a wonderful picnic, a blanket and a good book!

Another beauty Claire! Whenever I look into a landscape painting and wish I were there breathing the air, I salute the artist! You take us into your spaces and, as Sherry mentioned with this one, make us want to linger! Bravo! You did it again!
