PLEIN AIR PAINTING ALONG THE CONODOGUINET
An Original Plein Air Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Plein Air Painting Along the Conodoguinet'
 Plein Air
Oil
8 x 16

Day Three of the second annual Camp Hill Plein Air Event.

My Great-Aunt Margaret used to challenge me to learn
how to spell difficult words, and 'Conodoguinet' was one
that managed to glue itself to my memory cells.  I never
imagined that one day I would be painting along the
Conodoguinet on a beautiful Spring Day with egrets,
herons. black cormorants, bull frogs and turtles adding
to the beauty of the day!   I was so fortunate
that friend and fellow artist Linda Young let
me add her into my painting.

It must feel like heaven to bring life a bright spring day with that ribbon of greenery and water, hosting such an animal life, you really did take me to the spot!

Gorgeous, Claire! And what a wonderful name for the river too.
