'Early Evening Birches'
Oil
8 x 6
This is a plein air of a small clump of birches that
grow in the yard across the street from where I live.
I have been noticing the way the early evening light settles on the
ground and reflects on the trunks of the trees, and
thought it would make an interesting painting.

Definitely an interesting painting, Claire...love the way the light hits these birches!!! Excellent piece!
I love trees and birches have such beautiful trunks. These are no exception and the sunlit grass beyond the tree is such beautiful perfection, Claire. Your work is always beautiful though. You know I'm a huge fan!
I like thé biches, and thé way you paint thé foliage, bravo!
Claire, you sure captured the light. Beautiful painting.
The light is beautiful on this one. Lovely!
I envy that you have green things to paint - love the blue and red you have used - beautiful painting!
A fine painting, Claire! You caught the reflected light on the trunk very well!
