Early Evening Birches
An Original Plein Air
Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Early Evening Birches'
Oil
8 x 6

This is a plein air of a small clump of  birches that
grow in the yard across the street from where I live.
I have been noticing the way the early evening light settles on the
ground and reflects on the trunks of the trees, and
thought it would make an interesting painting.

I love trees and birches have such beautiful trunks. These are no exception and the sunlit grass beyond the tree is such beautiful perfection, Claire. Your work is always beautiful though. You know I'm a huge fan!

A fine painting, Claire! You caught the reflected light on the trunk very well!
