SOLD
THE GOLDEN HOUR
An Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'THE GOLDEN HOUR'
Oil
6 x 12

Worked on this little painting today.  I have been wanting to
paint this for two years now - ever since we came
back from visiting my cousins in North Carolina and I
looked at the photographs I had taken while we were there.
My husband and I sat on the dock behind my cousin's house and
watched the lowering sun start to touch everything
with a golden-pink light.

Beautiful painting, Claire! I love the house peeking through the trees! I can imagine how beautiful it is to look out the window and see the sun setting!

I'm glad you came back to this, Claire. What a peaceful, lovely painting.

I really like this one Claire; the warm tones of the setting sun on the trees,The cool blue water reflecting the pink of the sky. Masterfully done.

You've beautifully captured that light too, Claire. So pretty and I can imagine myself sitting on that porch and enjoying this sunset!

Beautiful, Claire! I love all the depth of shadow and light in the trees, and lovely warm colors where the light strikes the foliage. Great job!

So tranquil and still. You've captured the light you've described so well too!

Than you so much for the comments, everyone. I am pushing to get ready for two shows I am having in September, and it was a joy to come here and find the nice things you all said!

Aptly titled, Claire , you have done wonders on this work to bring out the tranquility of this hour so well.
