TREE LINE
An Original Plein Air
Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Tree Line'
Plein Air
Oil
6 x 8

Domnick Brandt and his wife Kay graciously invited us to
their home to paint.  I really liked  this area in the back corner of
their yard where bright light on the grass was in high
contrast with the shadowy tree line.

I thought about you all today and hoped it wasn't too hot for you. You've got a really nice piece here; soft colors makes me feel as if it were a peaceful quiet place to be today.
Nice job.

Claire, you make painting green look easy. Great job!

I too would have been swept away by this spot in the yard. Truly beautiful work, Claire, and anything green in color is a favorite.

Really lovely. You have a knack for capturing the essence of a place - just a little backyard corner, and it's truly beautiful.

This summer I've been smitten with the combinations of warm and cool greens in landscapes - the sunlit and shadowed grasses - so I've been studying this painting for reference :)
