As the leaves start to fade and fall, the soft russets and

As the leaves start to fade and fall, the soft russets and
yellows complement the purple haze of the mountain
in the distance. Although I love the intense colors of
the leaves when they are at their peak, this softer side
that they display is just as attractive.
This small painting is going to be delivered to the
Carlisle Arts Learning Center next week along with
four other small paintings I will be taking there for
the CALC Art for the Holidays, which will be
held Nov. 19 through Jan. 5. I hope that you will stop by
and see all of the wonderful things they have on

Always used to the vibrancy of fall, this softness of the autumn is equally appealing!
So beautiful, Claire!! For some reason this piece has me almost smelling the beautiful scents of autumn too.
By the way, I thank you for your last comment on my latest post. I think I lost it in the process of publishing, however. My computer is really acting weird of late. I thought at first it was my cordless mouse but I'm having more trouble than Carter has liver pills. I clicked on "published" and got a pop up window that said the comment was "rejected." There isn't even a "reject" button. I haven't a clue where to find it again as I've looked. Sigh...I am so sorry. I hope I don't need a new computer. This one is only a couple of years old. If I do, I'm going back to Apple, I think.
