'Superstar'
Leslie Saeta's Thirty Paintings in Thirty Days Challenge
Day Thirty
Oil on Panel
6 x 6
NFS
It's hard to believe this is the last day of the challenge.
I had all kinds of ideas for my last painting, and had
planned to paint from life as I had done with the previous
twenty nine paintings...but I was up in the studio and
found a black and white photo of my ten year old
grandson when he was a baby - looking like a superstar.
This has been a terrific challenge, and I have learned a lot.
Julie Oliver, one of the participating artist asked me if I
had met the goals I had set for myself at the beginning.
I definitely pushed myself to paint with more paint,
and have worked hard to be looser. However, I have
also realized that I have to paint like myself.
Even when I am painting my last painting, there will
always be something new to learn - which is one of the
reasons I love painting so much!
All of my paintings for this Challenge will be done in a 6 x 6 format,
and my main goal while painting from life
is to LOOSEN UP and USE MORE PAINT...
something which will only benefit my work.
