Hi Sherry - it is actually Groundhog's Day today (I posted this late last night), and it's looking pretty gloomy out there. I can never remember what it means when he sees his shadow...something tells me we still have a LOT more Winter to experience, especially since the weather gurus are calling for snow tonight! I just will continue to think Spring!!!
This little ground hog would be a good painting, cute! I heard they are going to use mechanical ones because of the animal activists. Do the fake ones have shadows?
Thank you Lyn - I thought he was pretty cute too! Need to work on my website - but have so much fun blogging! We're supposed to get hit with a big snowstorm this weekend, and I plan to paint 'til I drop!
Liz - I live at the southern most point of Cumberland County here in PA, so we are on the edge where we could get anwhere from 8 to 16 inches of snow with this storm that is supposed to start tomorrow. Stay warm and safe this weekend - I know you are in the area that is to get the largest amount of snow.

And did he, Claire? I didn't even realize yesterday was Phil's day! As to whether he saw his shadow or not, I haven't a clue.

You are so funny and that's the cutest groundhog photo I've ever seen! By the way, your blog and website look fantastic.
looks like he was right! At least for us south of you in Maryland. Are you getting any of this next snow?
Mary Anne, Your comment really made me laugh...this world can be pretty bizarre sometimes!
