'Scattered'
Oil 6 x 6
When I was a young girl, one of my favorite places
to be was up in the branches of a tree. It became my own
secret fortress, and I could climb high and view
the world from a whole new perspective.
To this day, I still revere the majesty of all trees, and
although I don't climb as much as I used to, I still
collect interesting leaves, branches, seeds and the
occasional empty nest.
This is the second of my study of some oak leaves
and acorns I collected last Fall.
If you would like to see more of my work,
Thank you.

Another gorgeous oak painting, Claire! I too revere trees, all of them. The oak is my favorite...Something about the word "mighty" is so appropriate for that gorgeous tree, isn't it? I remember sitting up in an apple tree we had in our yard when I was growing up. I always loved being up there and watching the world go by. ('Course, when an ant marched too close I'd leap from the branch just to get away from it.)
Thank you for your wonderful comment. I am so sorry to learn that you have fibro too. No fun. The past couple of days it hurts just to step on my feet! And for me, fatigue seems the biggest crush of all. Tomorrow I'll make myself go into work but it was just overwhelming the past two days.
Very nice color and composition.
Thanks, Sherry. Trees are pretty phenomenal, aren't they! Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Thank you, Karen. I thought this was a little 'cheerier' than the first one I posted. More 'friends' for the leaf!
Splendid colours on that leaf!
Thank you for your comment, MS - and for becoming a follower of my blog!
Amazing how there can be so many millions of leaves and they never cease to intrigue and amaze us! (They aren't quite so amazing when, en masse, they need to be raked up!)
Thanks very much for you featured artist link. Brenda York's work just started my day off right! Have you been doing this for a while? I hadn't noticed it before.
Thank you, Kaylyn. I love Brenda York's work, and am very happy if my link led you to her!
Wonderful painting with amazing colors.
