RAINY DAY

Day 21

The rain continues, so I thought that instead of
letting it get me down - I would paint it! It was
quite interesting to get the placement right so that
the design would be pleasing. Does your eye move
around the canvas?

Also, there's a lot more color in here than one
would suspect - especially in
the raindrops that I wanted to be more
important.

Claire, great raindrops, composition also great. You have the beauty of the rendered raindrops perfect! (Not easy to do.) This is the outlook on life that we should have. Find something positive no matter what. Look at your success!

I have just enlarged your photo, wow the raindrops look so real, what a great idea to paint them. Your garden will be bursting with life once the rain stops, the snails are probably out in force too!

I love the deceptive simplicity of this piece, Claire. The colors in the rain drops are beautiful!

Ahhh, rain! Those drops are soooo 3D! Send us your rain - we had a few teasing drops yesterday - not even enough to settle the dust. Otherwise, no rain on the middle coast of NC for weeks.

Am enjoying your challenge paintings very much. It's amazing how many plants we have in common in our gardens. Do you think the fact that we have the same Grandmother has something to do with it??? Keep up the wonderful, inspiring work. Diane
