DOWN THE GARDEN PATH
Two Mile House
Original Plein Air Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Down the Garden Path'
(Two Mile House)
Oil on Linen Panel
10 x 8

Today I went back to Two Mile House (an historical site
owned by the Cumberland County Historical Society) to
finish a painting I started last week.  We're in the middle
of a 'heat dome', so I left earlier than usual so that I could
finish up before the real heat started - it was already
95 degrees when I left the site around 11:00.  Five of us
ladies from SVPAP painted there this morning - and my
hats off to everyone and their positive attitudes!  We are
so fortunate that the property has lovely shade trees.
Here are some pictures:

Lyn O'Neal was painting off to my left

Johanna, Sue, Clare, and Cecelia found a nice
shady spot to paint from.  Clare painted
beneath the grape arbor.

If you would like to see more of my work,
please visit my website or my blog. If you are
interested in purchasing any of my paintings you see
here on this blog, please contact me.

So full of color and vitality! I love this Claire! I also am amused by the little path that dead ends at the lovely big bush! A touch of whimsy and all this couples to an eye-catching and beautiful painting!

You are so observant, Sherry! That little 'path that goes nowhere' was put in the garden as an accent to the flowers. Thanks for your comment!!!
