IN THE HEAT OF SUMMER
Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'In the Heat of Summer'
Oil on Linen Panel
9 x 12

I love to drive and take a road that I am
not familiar with in the hopes that I will find an
interesting place to paint.  The day I found this
farm, it was blistering hot, and yet those daylilies
in the foreground fields kept blooming profusely!

Lovely painting. The foreground flowers are the perfect touch.

I loved the way you took the horizon to the upper half and dealt with the fore ground with utmost ease, splendid!

Thanks so much, Carol I liked the way the orange daylilies made the foreground pop.

Thanks so much, Padmaja. I liked way the high horizon of this gave me lots of foreground to work on depth.
