CREAM
An Original Oil Painting

I learned a couple of things from this fourth
painting of the challenge.  First of all, I love this
little half-pint milk/cream jug and will be painting it
again, and again, and most likely at least one
more time in this challenge.  The second thing is to
never decide to change the color of your background
when you are painting a transparent object...

All of my paintings for this Challenge will be done in a 6 x 6 format,
and my main goal while painting from life
is to LOOSEN UP and USE MORE PAINT...
something which will only benefit my work.

Wow, you sure are getting off to a good start with this challenge, Claire. Every one of your paintings is a gem. Love the gel caps, and hope your headache is better.

Love this little jar and you did the glass so well. And you are a very brave painter to change your background with a transparent item - but I do like the background color you chose.

Ooh, I like this little container too! I wonder if it is an antique? I love your methodology on this painting challenge.

Thanks all of you for taking the time to comment! Susan Spohn, the original color of the background was a mustardy yellow. Sherry, yes this is an antique jug - love it, and will be painting it again!

I love those old fashioned milk bottles and this one is a beauty. Your colors are really harmonious!
